This study aims to explore the effectiveness of virtual learning media in practicum-based learning at Olat Maras Community Academy. The advancement of digital technologies, particularly Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and computer-based simulations, has provided more interactive, immersive, and flexible learning alternatives, especially in vocational education contexts with limited laboratory facilities. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a systematic literature review (SLR) method on scientific articles indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect published between 2020 and 2026. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis by categorizing findings into effectiveness, advantages, limitations, and supporting factors of virtual media implementation. The results indicate that virtual learning media are effective in improving conceptual understanding, procedural skills, as well as student engagement and motivation. However, limitations remain in fully replacing hands-on practical experience, along with technical constraints and user readiness issues. Therefore, integrating virtual media with direct practice through a blended learning approach is considered the most optimal strategy to enhance the quality of practicum-based learning. This study contributes to the development of innovative and adaptive technology-based learning models in vocational education.
